The process is like using a pen without the ink – literally, drawing with a dry point – to create an impression of a drawing which, when inked, can be printed from again and again.
You will experiment with making different marks using etching needles, biros, pencils and sand paper, scratching into card and on plates of perspex. These will then be inked up and rolled through the etching press to create your own unique set of prints.
Maximum of 4 in the class so there will be plenty of individual tuition. It is suitable for all levels of ability.
My studio is on an organic vegetable farm in Child Okeford looking up to the magnificent Hambledon Hill, a prehistoric hill fort. There will be time to wander round the farm, have a browse in the farm shop and even have lunch in the cafe on site if you wish.

More than 4 weeks prior to course: A full refund will be given.
1-4 weeks prior to course: 50% of course fee will be retained.
Less than 7 days’ notice: 100% of course fee will be retained.
If you do not attend a course and have not previously informed me, 100% of the fee will be retained
IF I HAVE TO CANCEL:
I will keep you informed if there is any threat of a course not running or if there are not enough participants to make it viable. I will cancel at short notice only in the case of an emergency, such as illness or extreme weather affecting access to and use of the building.
If I have to cancel a course 100% of course fees will be refunded.
