LINOPRINTING ON FABRIC
Saturday 23rd March 10.30 - 4.00 - Ashmore Village Hall

Linocuts print very well onto fabrics and in this workshop we will learn how to design and transfer your drawing on to lino.
You will then cut it and print it onto a blank, white tea towel. We will use Calligo safe wash relief inks which are vegetable oil based and can be cleaned up with soap and water rather than solvents. Once dry the colours will be permanent and the tea towel will be able to be machine washed. The tea towel is 100% cotton measuring 50 x 70 cms.
At the end of the day you will leave with your own unique hand printed tea towel along with paper printed versions you will have used to practice on and the block to carry on printing from at home.
We will be working in the light and spacious village hall at Ashmore which has a lovely outside area with benches for relaxing on during the breaks. It also has extensive grounds with access to beautiful country lanes for a breath of fresh air when you need it. There is plenty of parking space.
The day runs from 10.30 - 4 . Classes are very relaxed. There will be plenty of help and individual tuition during the day.
Teas and coffees available throughout the day. Bring a packed lunch. Maximum 6 people. £85 including all materials.
