Friday 25th June
This workshop concentrates on observing, collecting and creating textures and patterns in nature. Combining the sense of touch with our other senses of vision, hearing, taste and smell is a great way to build the cognitive skills which we use for problem solving and creative thinking.
The class will consist of walking a route together and collecting textures from natural elements like bark, rocks and leaves. We will also look out for the natural patterns that occur on our path and create temporary sculptures from found objects. It is suitable for all levels of ability.
