Dusk until dawn 1.jpg

13 Bell St, Shaftesbury SP7 8AR

Dusk’s Triolet for Thomas Hardy by Catherine Simmonds

Just this loved meadow moving

as evening falls and grasses shake

to the soft wind’s rolling.

Just this loved meadow moving

in the blue-glass gloaming

to a peace that wakes

just this loved meadow moving

as evening falls and grasses shake.

As all the threads of day are falling

and the tinted west is given away

and here or there the owl is calling

as all the threads of day are falling

and all the hours have spent their toiling

and colours seem to blend and fray

- as all the threads of day are falling

and the tinted west is given away.

INSTINCT OF HOPE

Fine Foundation Gallery at Durlston Country Park,  National Nature Reserve. BH19 2JL

25 May – 9 June.

Dorset Art Weeks is organising a new exhibition as part of this year’s event in the stunning clifftop setting of the Fine Foundation Gallery at Durlston Country Park,  National Nature Reserve from 25 May – 9 June.

Artists are exhibiting work which encapsulates notions of wellbeing, repair, rewilding as well as access to nature. I will be highlighting the importance of protecting our footpaths, holloways and ancient tracks.
