Explore various drawing techniques using different materials and surfaces to enhance your artistic expression. You will be free to wander the house and gardens to find special places to sit, contemplate and draw, whether it be on the patio overlooking the Nadder Valley, setting up a still life inside or studying an aspect of the interior. The day is yours.

 

In the morning I will guide you through the various materials and papers we will be using. We will then experiment using simple exercises that I will set.  

This exploration of drawing and materials is to encourage you to approach the afternoon studies with a fresh and free way of working.​​

The day is not about how well you can draw but more about spending time looking, absorbing and enjoying creating a memory through mark making
