A day in the beautiful surroundings of Springhead working in the Barn Classroom, a purpose built space in the gardens. It is warm and well equipped.

This workshop concentrates on observing, collecting and creating  textures and patterns in nature like bark, stones and leaves. It is suitable for all levels of ability.

​

Projects include:

Frottage -  rubbings of natural textures.

Creating a burnished impression of a found texture.

Experimenting with collage and building an image using  the rubbings, wax resist and inks.
